I can't believe I never posted this one. This is as definitive a version of the Appassionata as I have ever heard. Hold onto your seats.
This Richter guy is pretty good!
No, seriously, there are people with equal if not better technical skill (though Richter is pretty darn near the top, Pollini and Hamelin could well have him beat), and people who play with equal passion but far less skill (all my favorites!), but has there been anyone else who combined the two at such a high level?
