I can't believe I never posted this one. This is as definitive a version of the Appassionata as I have ever heard. Hold onto your seats.

Part of me wishes I'd been there, but the rest of me realizes that this would have been very bad.
Here it is. One of the most intense versions of Beethoven's last piano sonata that I know. Richter's is up there, but I think this one is a little more psychologically wracked. Sofronitsky was an addict (opium, I think), and it eventually killed him.
